The Freddy and Eddy Show Rolls On

American striker Eddie Johnson assisted on the equalizer and his teammate and countryman Freddy Adu hit the winner as Aris pulled off a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Ergotelis in Greek Super League action on Sunday. Here are the highlights:

Aris holds on to fifth place and the final Europa League place with the three points (Ergotelis stays in ninth place).

While the goalkeeping on Aris’s first goal, and some of the defending throughout the clip, are enough to make you think the “Super” in Greek Super League was intended ironically, performances like these can only help put Johnson and Adu back in the national team picture.

It’s a safe bet that both players have March 3—the date of the U.S. friendly against the Netherlands in Amsterdam—circled on their calendars. If they keep this up, they’ll probably both be getting a call from Bob Bradley for that one.
