U.S. Schedules Czech Republic, Turkey for Final World Cup Tuneups

The United States will play Turkey on May 29 at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field in its last friendly before its World Cup opener against England on June 12. U.S. Soccer and the Philadelphia Eagles (proprietors and primary tenants of Lincoln Financial Field) will make the announcement today.

This game will complete the U.S.’s pre-tournament schedule of friendlies: The Nats play El Salvador on Feb 24 in Tampa, Fla., travel to Amsterdam to take on the Netherlands on March 3, and then will finish up with this one against Turkey, third-place finishers in the 2002 World Cup.

UPDATE: The USSF has announced another friendly, against the Czech Republic on May 25, at a site to be determined.
