Adu Scores Again for Aris

American midfielder Freddy Adu now has two goals in two starts for Aris, as he bagged his team’s second one in a 3-0 win over Xanthi in their Greek Cup replay yesterday.

Adu also played a part in the third goal, sending a pass into the final third (and benefitting from a missed sliding tackle by a Xanthi defender) that released his teammate, Argentine Javier Campora, who squared it for Spaniard Koke to finish.

Adu’s Yank teammate, striker Eddie Johnson, came on for 15 minutes of action in the second half.

The win puts Aris in the Greek Cup semifinals.
