Appearances Like these May End Up Being Becks’s Strongest Contribution to MLS

The quality of his commitment to the league and of his on-field performances may be debatable, but David Beckham’s status as a media-savvy, movie-star–looking ambassador for MLS is not—and that’s a pretty valuable thing. It may be what he’s getting paid for, really, in the end.
